Away I go!

This weekend I get to go to Indy to visit my best friend, Lindsay! I have been missing Indy more and more lately. I haven't been back since I was like 7 months pregnant with Molly and that has been way too long! We don't have much planned, just have lunch at McAllister's..which is is a must, then heading back to her house and hang out and talk. We will be in FW for 2 years in April and I think they have been the longest 2 years of my life. I came here with my feet dragging and they still are! I'm just so happy to be spending time w/ her and her little girl Madison, who shares the same birthday as Molly :) Go figure, they are destined to be best friends too! I hear she can't wait to meet Molly and I hope she isn't too disappointed that Molly can't do much in regards to playing with her! It's been awhile since I've seen Madison too, so I'm excited to see how much she has grown!

I think I'm getting sick, which it better be done before Saturday. I woke up with a stuffy and runny nose, my throat all clogged--a bit like a feeling of tonsillitis...which I used to get all the time but haven't for some time now. I think I just don't get enough of what I need to....sleep, exercise and good nutrition. There seriously aren't enough hours in the day, especially when working a full time job. Now, that Molly is finally getting a routine and going to bed around 8:30, I hope this will give me some time to finally start working out! I would like to go to the gym 3 days a week (I get free membership, my dad part owns it!) and then work out at home another 2-3 days a week. I really need to watch what I eat more and cut my portions in 1/2...I'm used to bigger portion sizes since I was breastfeeding (and always starving!). It's just depressing since I worked so hard to lose about 15lbs before I got pregnant and I'm right back to where I started, I have to lose about 15lbs to get to my pre-pregnancy weight and then another 15lbs on top of that to get to my goal...why is is hard for me to lose weight??!!! And seemingly so easy for others? Someone needs to kick my butt and get it in gear...encouraging words are welcome!

  1. Honestly I think you look great for just having a baby THREE MONTHS AGO! That is awesome that you get a free membership to the gym, if only you had the time! Did you have three months off for maternity leave? So did you just start back to work full time or have you been working for a little while? I only have ever taken 6 weeks off with my kids during maternity leave because I don't get paid the other 6. Wish I did!

    Enjoy your time in Indy! It's a great city and I am sure you miss it.

  2. Oh my, I feel like a fatty!! but thank you, I'll take the compliment! I know, it's the finding time for working out that is hard. I'm not a morning person and don't have time to go to the gym and then get home and get the kids ready, etc. Possibly after work a few days I could...thank goodness Spring is coming and I can be outside!

    I did take 3 months off. I only got paid for 6 weeks, and I just took the rest unpaid. It was worth it though! It was hard adjusting back to work at first, but now I'm back in the swing of things!

    I hope the boys are back to feeling 100%!!!
