So Valentine's Day was pretty fun--ok, well not the actual day, but on Saturday. I woke up, did my workout, ate my Kashi Go Lean Crunch (sooo yummy) and we left for a gun training class. It's to teach safety and proper use of all guns. It was from 10-2:30. At the end of the session we got to shoot 4 different types of guns, 3 rounds each. I must say I thought I'd be a better shot. But silly me only wore a zip up hoodie and jeans and eventhough the shooting range was indoors it was basically the same temp as outside! So I was shivering (a bit) and nervous at the same time! There was an instructor at each gun, so they helped me to load and stuff like that. I must say I always held the gun properly (no hand on the trigger people!) and loaded the gun nicely. I had a hard time shooting the Revlover at a double auto, the single was easier (cocking and loading the gun each time). I only shot hand guns, 2 revolvers and 2 "cop guns" as I like to call them...and if you know me, you know that I've always wanted to be a cop!! So that was exciting, although I was a better shot with the Revlover, who knew? It was a fun time and we plan to keep going back, because well, I need to pracitce and it was just fun and relaxing if that's possible? Good way to let off some steam--of course I would ONLY and I repeat ONLY do this in an INDOOR shooting range with professionals around. I don't think I'd feel comfortable shooting guns in open land or anything like that, too much could go wrong. I was happy and had a great time and I think Jimmy liked watching me shoot a gun!
Here are some pictures of the kiddos with their V-day gifts from Mimi and Papa, we had to celebrate early as they were out of town on V-day.
The kid loves Thomas the Train!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
You are braver than I! (and probably 30 pounds less, which might be why!!! lol)
ReplyDeleteKeep it up girlfriend! You will be a skinny mini in no time with all the hard work you are doing. And I can't believe you went to a shooting range. I don't know if I will ever end up doing that, but it sounds completely exhilarating!
